Brand vs generic & R-alpha lipoid acid
I've also switched from generic Ursodiol to brand
Actigall
. I'm only taking 600mg of the prescribed 900mg daily dose. (Which I will keep at the lower dose as long as things look good) I absolutely think getting insurance to pay for brand (if you can) is worth it.

Does ursodiol/actigall/ursofalk give you foggy head?
Hi all, recently my bloodwork showed positive AMA and I was prescribed ursodiol. I also take Creon as well because I've found it helps with digestion. I find ursodiol gives me a foggy head. Does this happen for anyone else? I'm asking because I'm trying to determine whether I have "regular" PBC or

Found a US PBC Support Group
I also know for those who do not respond to taking Ursodiol /
Actigall
pills for PBC, there is a NEW drug being released in May 2016. I asked for the name but of course did not get it... just a smile from drs. PBC is maintainable/controllable with proper meds and treatment. Thanks Theresa

I've read a lot about Ursodiol /
Actigall
drug. I have been on it two weeks. It is supposed to help with the bile and relieve the itching. It will not stop progression of PBC since there is not a cure. If this will stop the itching, I can tolerate anything else thrown my way.

Urso unavailable??
I asked her to prescribe
Actigall
, because the pharmacy said they have that, but instead a nurse called to tell me they located a 2 week supply of Urso at a different pharmacy. What I don't understand is how a gastro Dr. can tell me I need to wait. Should I find a new gastro Dr.?

Does anyone take Actigall rather than Urso? And if so, any side effects?
