FAQ - What are the differences between Fibromyalgia & ME?
A few medications that boost dopamine in the brain are used as treatments for Fibro (pramipexole/Mirapexin and nefopam/
Acupan
) and some people do very well with these.

Sleep deprived...
I hate taking them though as opiates make me slur my words and fall asleep pretty much straight away (they think I'm intolerant of morphine) and these new ones -
acupan
- give me immediate heartburn and again make me fall asleep.

Medication.
I've been prescribed 3 x
acupan
tablets 3 times a day. And 50mg antitriptaline a night. But still I'm in so much pain, up all night in cramps and is now effecting my driving and life due to not being able to walk. I'm 33 years old and just don't know how to go on any more with this condition.

Acupan (Nefopam Hydrochloride)
Hello, I have just been prescribed
Acupan
for back pain. I took my first dose about 2 and a half hours ago, but haven't felt any reduction in pain. Can anyone advise how long it takes to work? I have tried googling it but can'y find much out there.... Thanks :-)

Diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome
After stopping the
Acupan
pain killers which didn't seem to do much anyway and the GP decided I was only allowed one a day and the maximum was 6 which was the only way it helped with the pain, my mouth got better, but not the eye.
