Hi there! My octogenarian mum finally saw the Rheumatologist again since last Nov. Nov23 she had a serious Raynaud's attack pre-diagnosis. We had no idea what we were dealing with and though her fingertips were ischaemic with some necrosis they were saved with 5 days emergency iloprost. Fast forward

Bumetanide
I have just started taking 2 x1mg in the morning. Lots of trips to the loo and some cramps in my hands. It has been prescribed to help breathlessness related to heart failure. Would like to know other people’s experience and if it would be better to take later in the day. My blood pressure is a bit

Dehydration.
I am on Bumetanide twice daily for mild heart failure. We all know what it does but in this weather we are encouraged not to become dehydrated. I am drinking loads of fluids but should I expect more or less loo trips under these circumstances. Still no rain here.

Leg swelling with copd
I have severe COPD, just wondering if anybody with this condition suffer with swollen legs, mainly the right leg & feet. Dr thought it maybe due to blood clot, had the test & no sign of a clot.I'm wondering if because of my lack of mobility is what is causing it as so short of breath to do much walking

taking Inspra/Eplerenone with Sando-K (as blood tests show potassium level low) and Bumetanide
My understanding of being prescribed Eplerenone is that it is a potassium sparing diuretic (stops any potassium being expelled from the body) to be taken alongside the Bumetanide which is a diuretic that expels all excess fluid. I was previously prescribed Spironolactone -another slightly stronger potassium

Oedema in legs from limited mobility
Any tips for reducing oedema in legs except for diuretics ? Although I get up often,it’s only briefly due to pain from #s lumbars 1-5 & T13.I live on recliner sofa, legs up most of the day re pain, and overnight legs up on two pillows. Seems to be getting worse and more often, few days on Bumetanide sorted

AF back
So after 4 years A F free, the mongrel has returned. I am so upset 😡 😫 😪 and contacted my HF Nurse who has cut down my spironolactone to every other day as i have also been getting light headed and woozy. She has also reduced my Bumetanide from 4 to 3 daily. My Consultant has stopped my Bisoprolol

Change from Furosemide to Bumetanide
I am on 80mg Furosemide in the morning and 20mg at lunch time (a quite large dose). I have recently been asked to stop the Furosemide and change to 1mg Bumetanide. Has anyone any experience of this medication they can share?
