Anticoagulants
Just a quick question , I just realised my surgery is closed today (silly me) and I can’t pick up my latest prescription until Tuesday . I will run out of my anticoagulant Edoxaban tonight so I won’t be able to take any for the next 3 days . I haven’t had an AF episode for the last 4 months and they

Hi,I'm Jo, I'm 55 and three years ago I had an aneurysm in my aorta so had an Aortic Root & Valve replacement at Papworth. I have been on Warfarin ever since, but it's had it's problems. My INR levels are all over the place even though I'm careful what I eat etc. For 3 months I have been bleeding from

Hi I'm Jo,Three years ago I had an aortic aneurysm which resulted in a aortic root & valve replacement. I had a mechanical valve as I was 52, so I have been on Warfarin ever since. My Warfarin levels are rarely right, so have to have it adjusted regularly, but this is my concern. Three months ago I

High platelets due to ET or MF is anyone on anticoagulants such as Clexane or Heparin?
If you are on
anticoagulants
what platelet numbers do you have? Are any of you also on hydroxycarbamide too?

Anticoagulants stopped by new consultant
Although I hate taking any medication, removing my
anticoagulants
( no mention of Bisoprolol) is making me very nervous especially after having had a severe embolism. Any thoughts/advice? Sorry for rambling!!

Open heart surgery
By closing this appendage off the signals eventually die off but also the risk of stroke is now reduced by 70/80% providing
anticoagulants
are still being taken . Personally I always had the impression that
anticoagulants
prevented stroke in AF sufferers not just reduced the risk.

Taking K2 MK7
Apparently it cannot be taken if prescribed to Warfarin but it’s unclear as to whether or not it’s safe with other
anticoagulants
. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Shock diagnosis
Told without
anticoagulants
I was risking major stroke, heart attack or pulmonary embolism. Now on beta blocker, Warfarin and Fragmin. Worried 😟. Was working on day I was admitted and feeling very anxious. Don’t know what future holds.

Anticoagulant changes
I wonder if any of you can advise me please on
anticoagulants
. I have been on Apixaban for some years and recently when I have had my repeat prescription from the pharmacy the manufacturer of Apixaban has changed four times.

Scary stopping
anticoagulants
for 2 days, but the cardiologist I spoke with last week did a good job reassuring me. Op being done under general anaesthetic. Am hoping it doesn’t trigger an af episode, before, after or during!

anticoagulants-or not..
I have read a number of articles which I think say that the protocol for when to add to the CHaDs s score for prescribing
anticoagulants
with AF was based on patients who were very obviously symptomatic whereas many newer patients have fewer symptoms and discover AF through smart watches / other devices

Dabigtran
After struggling with
anticoagulants
I am now trying Dabigatran/Pradaxa.After a month on a low dose my weight has increased ...nothing else has altered...I am eating less bread. ..in fact less overall. I eat little meat and don't drink alcohol. I do not want thus weight gain to continue.

Are you in Toronto?
She has not been diagnosed and is not on
anticoagulants
. Can you please 🙏🏻 recommend a good cardiologist in Toronto and do you know if she can see him/her privately soonest without a referral from her regular doctor? Many thanks in anticipation.
