My name is Dr Richard Arm. My team and I create synthetic organs for surgeons to train on.
We've developed a new heart valve simulator that will be appearing on CBBC's Operation Ouch- A kids TV show on the BBC educating children about medical technologies and surgery and thought it would be nice to ask some real trainees to participate.
We need 2-3 medical students who might be familiar with aortic valve replacement techniques and would like to try the operation for 'real', in a risk free environment at our simulated surgical suite using our new synthetic cardiothoracic model (pictured above).
You need to be available from 9am to 1pm on 27th of June 2024 (that's one week from today) and be able to travel to our Clifton campus (at Nottingham Trent University) in Nottingham, UK.
I t will be voluntary work, but we offer you the opportunity to trial the next generation of medical models being piloted here in the heart of the UK.
PM me for more details or to book your space for free.
