Starting the long process of our first DE cycle after 2 failed transfers with OE last year. First OE cycle was a frozen cycle where I had to take oestrogen tablets which gave me significant insomnia when I was on the max dose (5 tablets a day) (1.5 hrs sleep max a night). We have recently changed clinics and our new consultant recommended using oestrogen patches not tablets so I can hopefully get some sleep. Anyone had hormone induced insomnia and found the patches better suited them? Trying to find some positive stories so it’s one less thing to worry about in our DE cycle. For reference I have lower oestrogen level naturally as have PCOS and an irregular cycle.
Wishing you all baby dust xx

Hope you get some replies to your post To help encourage a good night sleep try warm soothing bath - herbal tea/milky drink Avoid using your phone /laptop etc for a couple of hours before going to bed Make sure nice and comfy in bed - not too hot or cold
the insomnia is unreal…. some nights I was awake from 2am to 5am, I was full of energy. I asked my Clinic and they said to get up and do puzzles. I previously lay in bed on my phone and it really wasn’t helpful…googling IVF stuff but the jigsaws, building Lego helped me.
