Brain, ears, sleep. How can I make sense of tinnitus?
Hi all! I have tinnitus that comes and goes. Ig is a buzzing sound that fluctuates in volume. I don't have it when I am well rested and sleep deeply but as soon as I have a night where my dreams are uneasy in events..not nightmares just worries, I wake up with it or when I work late and become tired

Pain in Left Eye
Hi Kind Friends, I am currently on 12.5 mg prednisone (tapering from 60 in Oct.) and weekly Actemra injections (about 4 months) Double vision from high prednisone has resolved as I have tapered. Occasionally I feel pain in my left eye, in the outer lower corner. It will hurt when I move my eye,

small amount of blood after wiping myself a few times
hi everyone, I just joined this hub as I’m worried. I’m not sure what to make of this. I started having stomach problems after having COVID back in October. The stomach pain was so bad I went to doctor. Was on PPI meds which helped with the pain. However, just before Christmas my stomach was painful

Lanzoprazole and side effects
Hello, I am over 2 years past Ivor Lewis oesophagectomy and have been taking Lanzoprazole 15mg once a day, then Gavison at night. I’ve found that my folate and ferritin are low , probably caused by ppi use and wonder if anyone has managed to come off them. I know they have lots of potential bad effects

Coffee-drinker?
I've had glaucoma since 1988, many ops and drops. Have noticed that my eyes get very misty from time to time, which is a pain when you are having tests to get your driving licence back etc. Thought, blood sugar? That's all I need... Nope. Turns out it's COFFEE that's affecting me! No coffee, no

Is there a difference between Barrett’s tongue and barretts oesophagus ?
I have been trying to research this since my endoscopy showed “possible Barrett’s tongue” Biopsy has been taken to rule this out which I hope is a positive sign , but does anyone have experience of this term? I understand that it is associated with hiatal hernia although my reflux issues aren’t too

Live vaccine for dengue fever
My son lives in Bali. He is in the middle of a very severe bout of dengue fever. I am going to visit him for 3 weeks in July. He has suggested I should have a vaccine before I go. I can find that it is called a " live attenuated dengue tetravalent vaccine". Even the vaccine side effects can be pretty

Treating symptoms causes more issues.
So if I use a medication to fix a symptom, I can end up worse off. Recently I took mebeverine to slow motility as I pass a lot of bowel movements a day. It was to help with morning cramps. I just felt sore, constipated and couldn’t eat as normal after. So the mebeverine fixes one problem and causes

I have AF but it’s controlled so far with daily flecainide and bisoprolol.
