I was diagnosed with IBS back in the late 80's. And am sure that the trigger is anxiety related in my case. According to my GP I also have internal haemorrhoids, although I don't get bleeding just discomfort.I wake in the morning and have to visit the toilet urgently every day (usually only once). Loose stools, but not diarrhoea.
My question is, do any other sufferers have similar symptoms? And has anyone tried Nerva, and did it help?
Thanks.

Hi. I've had IBS the same length of time. Since I've had Covid back in 2020, 3 times including this January it has affected my ibs and gut . I looked at Nerva but decided to work with a psychotherapist who does NLP. As I know the stress I have definitely affects my bowels. Yesterday was very challenging stress wise and I had the runs but got through without imodium by visualising my happy place and calming my gut down. Plus doing my simple breathing exercise to calm my tummy down. There is for me a definite link between my brain and gut symptoms. Ava

I try to get my head in a 'good place', but it doesn't always work. Seems like a viscous circle at times. Thanks for replying and hope you can resolve your problems.
